I studied electronic engineering at university and began my career at a major electronics manufacturer, where I worked on middleware development for server computers. I later worked at Sony on software design for products such as Aibo and Walkman. Wanting to contribute more directly to improving software quality, I transitioned into software QA. After serving as QA manager for PlayStation web applications and web services, I joined CADDi in February 2024. I now work on software QA for CADDi Drawer within the Enabling QA team, focusing not only on testing but also on building mechanisms to improve quality while sharing a common understanding of what the optimal quality for CADDi Drawer should be. I enjoys going to live music venues and visiting pastry shops.
There were several reasons I decided to join. First, I was drawn to CADDi's mission to unleash the potential of manufacturing. Through the website, blog posts, videos, and casual conversations, I could feel that everyone at the company was seriously committed to tackling the challenges of manufacturing. I strongly felt that I, too, wanted to contribute to making the world even a little better. Second, CADDi communicates not only through official company channels but also through its employees and customers, so I was able to understand the mission, the values the company cares about, and the thoughts and personalities of many different people. The energy people brought and the way they worked together so vividly made me want to work with them, and after joining I feel every day that this intuition was right. Third, on a more personal note, I have always liked drawings themselves. I enjoy looking at design drawings and structural and sectional drawings of vehicles, and even in my student days I chose mechanical drafting out of personal interest. CADDi Drawer is not merely a drawing management system; it aims to make many kinds of activities and information related to drawings more useful. I felt that I could take on this work head-on while imagining the different ways drawings can be put to use.
Since joining CADDi, I have worked in the Enabling QA Team on QA for CADDi Drawer, software for the manufacturing industry. My role goes beyond just designing and executing tests. I focus on building mechanisms that allow us to define the right level of quality for CADDi Drawer together with stakeholders and improve that quality collaboratively. To improve quality, we need to classify and identify the causes of incidents and defects and then reduce the likelihood of those causes recurring. Across the entire SDLC, I want to continue building and driving the practices that clarify who should take what action and at which stage.
