Career Summary

At GREE, Inc., I worked on the social gaming platform and later moved to Vietnam to help launch its development hub, eventually becoming the representative director of the local subsidiary. Back in Japan, I joined UMITRON K.K., leading a team developing IoT services for the domestic aquaculture industry. In 2022, I was inspired by CADDi’s fast-paced and large-scale expansion into Vietnam, which inspired me to take on a new challenge in the country once again. I now serve as Engineering Manager, overseeing the development organization at CADDi Vietnam. Not a fan of cold weather—definitely Team Ho Chi Minh over Hanoi!

Why I Joined

During my first assignment in Vietnam, I was involved in offshore development for clients in Japan. From launching the organization to managing development and business operations, I felt I had done everything I could in Vietnam at the time. However, when I learned about CADDi Vietnam, I realized there was still something I hadn’t accomplished. In outsourcing development, our role typically ends at the implementation stage, the actual business challenges lie with the client. My experience had remained within that boundary, but I came to see the value in stepping beyond it. Vietnamese software engineers contributing to their own company’s business through technology. Building a development organization that maximizes that impact. And doing all this in manufacturing, an industry where Vietnam has a competitive edge. It felt like an opportunity I couldn’t pass up, and that’s why I decided to join CADDi.

Role at CADDi

I’m currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, overseeing the development organization of CADDi Vietnam, our local subsidiary. When I first joined CADDi, I focused on ramping up my technical skills as a Backend Engineer. However, my focus has since shifted toward management. I want to build a global development organization where country names like "Japan ~" and "Vietnam ~" do not become the subject.
